TeamProof vs Jobber: which one does your business actually need?

TeamProof and Jobber get compared because both put a schedule on a worker's phone. Past that, they're built for different problems. Jobber runs the business side of field service, from the first request to the paid invoice. TeamProof proves the visit happened. This page lays them side by side, including the places where Jobber is the better choice.

The short answer

  • Choose Jobber if your hard problems are quoting, booking residential jobs and getting paid.
  • Choose TeamProof if your hard problem is proving to clients that recurring visits happened, especially at night or through subcontractors.
  • Use both if you need both. TeamProof works alongside Jobber, and a direct Jobber connection is built and coming soon.

We've kept Jobber's column to things it clearly does and pointed you to Jobber's site where details change by plan. Jobber is a trademark of its owner, and TeamProof isn't affiliated with it.

Where Jobber is stronger

Be clear-eyed here. Jobber has years of work in quoting, online booking, invoicing, payment processing and client communication. TeamProof has none of the money side yet: invoicing and payments are listed as coming soon on our own features page. If you want one tool to take a residential customer from request to payment, Jobber is built for that and TeamProof isn't.

Where TeamProof is stronger

TeamProof is narrow on purpose. Everything in it points at one record: the visit.

The visit record. A worker logs in with their phone number and PIN, taps one big Check in button, and the location is checked against the pin you set for that property. They take before and after photos and work through the checklist, and check-out is checked the same way. If they're more than an hour off the start time, they pick a short reason that stays on the office screens. GPS is checked only at check-in and check-out, never all shift.

Missed visits. If nobody has checked in an hour after the scheduled start, the visit gets a Missed tag and you get an email. You can reassign it from the visit itself. See missed visit alerts.

Subcontractor privacy. You can hand a site to a sub. They join free and see only the visits you send and their price. Your clients never see names, phones or pay. More on subcontractor verification.

Client proof. A property manager gets a private link to their visits. See the client visit report link.

Pricing models

TeamProof is one plan (see current pricing), with unlimited workers and a 30-day free trial without a card. Jobber's price depends on the plan and how many users you have, so check Jobber's pricing page for current numbers. The flat price matters most when you have lots of part-time cleaners or seasonal crews.

Using them together

Most companies we talk to aren't looking to rip out their billing. The TeamProof + Jobber connection imports scheduled Jobber visits, lets crews check in through TeamProof, and posts a proof note back to the Jobber job. It never reads your quotes or invoices. It's pending Jobber's Marketplace approval, so for now the two run side by side.

Where TeamProof came from

TeamProof was built and is used daily at Sweepy Maids in Metro Vancouver for night commercial cleans. Read the case study, or the commercial-cleaning-specific Jobber alternative guide.
