"Proof of service" can mean a lot of things. In legal work it's a signed document saying papers were delivered. In field service, it means something simpler and harder: evidence your crew was at the property, when they said, and did the work. That's what TeamProof is for.

What counts as proof

A useful proof record answers five questions without anyone having to remember:

1. Who was there?
2. Where were they when they started and finished?
3. When did they arrive and leave?
4. What did the site look like before and after?
5. What was done, and was anything off?

A text message from a worker saying "done" answers none of these reliably. A scheduling app's "completed" status answers one, maybe.

What TeamProof records on every visit

• Check-in and check-out times, recorded on the worker's phone
• GPS location at check-in and check-out, checked against the pin you set for that site
• Before and after photos, taken in one tap and saved to the visit
• The checklist for that site
• A late reason if the worker is more than an hour off the start time
• Who did the visit, visible to you, but not to clients or subs

That record is what you see on the proof screen. It's also what a client sees, minus your worker's name, phone and pay, through a private client visit report link.

Proof of what didn't happen

The most valuable proof is sometimes the absence of it. Because TeamProof knows the schedule, it notices when a visit doesn't start. Honest limits

• GPS is a check, not a tracker. Location is checked at check-in and check-out only. TeamProof doesn't follow a worker around a site during the shift. That's a deliberate privacy choice.
• Phone GPS has normal accuracy limits, especially inside large buildings. Pinning the site entrance helps.
• Photos prove what was photographed. A good checklist tells crews what to shoot. See our janitorial checklist template.
• No signatures or invoices. Invoicing and payments are coming soon.
